Folkloric Dances and Psychomotricity in Students of Initial Education

The objective of the research for this work was to determine the relationship between folk dances and psychomotor skills in Initial Education students. Corresponds to a study of scope correlation, not experimental. The sample consisted of 35 children from an educational institution in Lima to whom two observation guides were applied. The results support that the psychomotricity dimensions maintain the average levels; however, there is a better developed dimension that is the “psychomotor scheme” with an average of X=17.10. The study concludes that there is a relationship between folk dances and psychomotor skills in Initial Education students of an educational institution in Lima. The scientific evidence is statistically
supported with a value of p=0.04 and a correlation coefficient of 0.444.
