The article describes and analyzes the conceptions on which mediation in human learning is based and its implication in the field of education, in order to promote the understanding of this issue from the psychological, pedagogical or educational point of view, and that from this understanding, the theoretical bases are provided, with special emphasis on teachers, that strengthen their educational practices, base their actions and strengthen their pedagogical knowledge. All this through the contributions of three important contemporary scholars and authors who have dealt with mediation for the learning process and this in the educational field, contributions that are contained in scientific and research journals indexed
in repositories, published between 1997 to the present.
Despite the existence of a diversity of information on mediation from different perspectives, few articles explore in a descriptive way and with examples the foundations that support the different conceptions of mediation of learning and its implication in the field of education, as well as the ways of acting or teaching actions that promote their practice.
