Abstract

The process known as conquest was conducted by individuals of different origins as well as social, economic and political conditions. America and particularly Peru was considered as a new beginning to gain a higher status, which those men undoubtedly lacked in Europe. The actions and events around death, especially those related to the arts such as funeral ceremonies, donations and wills were methods to permanently consolidate their attained prestige.
