The role of the Church in relation to the Human Rights is not a recent issue. The Church”™s contributions have been important since the beginning of the Christian era, nevertheless there is a profound lack of information of the role of Christianity in the recognition of the right to life, peace and security. In this work, we will make a historical journey from the medieval epoch and analyze how the Church has always insisted on the defense of life, the pursuit of peace, justice and order.
