The present work tries to emphasize and to describe the mission of the catholic university in the arduous task that implies educating the man, this one is the permanent search of the truth from the investigation. Consequently, the investigation takes a more complete and deep sense, in the measure in which it is to light of the Christian message. For it, the catholic university proposes as route of humanization of the man Jesus Christ, real image of the man. Under this perspective, it appears to the culture as result of the accomplishment of the person along his existence and one proposes it as engine of humanization in all that it corresponds to the Word personified in Jesus Christ.
The argumentation of the above mentioned offer holds in the documents of the teaching of the Church, that they gather and explain the experience of the Church in order that the man should find in her a method with which to answer to his own questions. The conception appears relativistic assumed by the man, whose consequence disables him to know the truth, drives it to question the legitimacy of the education and pushes it towards a dictatorship of the pedagogism, of the technology and of the pedagogic bureaucracy. One concludes the following thing: (a) the real education is opposed to all the trends of despersonalization, (b) the role of any catholic university is to introduce the young person in the perspective of the real image of the man, Jesus Christ, and (c) the challenge of the education and evangelization implies that it informs the whole university community to do culture.
